HAUGHTON – Funeral services for Mr. Gordon Wayne “Fred” McDonald, 75, of Haughton, LA will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 8, 2015 in the chapel of Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home in Haughton, LA with Dr. Gevan Spinney and Bro. Buck Furlow officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home.
Gordon was born December 1, 1939 in Junction City, AR and passed away peacefully in Haughton, LA on June 5, 2015, surrounded by family and friends, after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Doraetta McLemore McDonald; daughter, Tina McDonald Laliberte; grandson, Blake Laliberte and wife Kylie; granddaughter, Sommer Laliberte, brother, Bobby McDonald and wife Judy; and many other close family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Carlton “Pee-Wee” Anderson, Bill Creary, Ivy Gibson, Mark Koenig, Jimmy Roberts and Pete Schaub.
