HAUGHTON LA- A graveside service for H. Mike Simpson, 79, will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will be receiving visitors from 12:00 p.m. until service time.
H. Mike was born on July 10, 1935 to parents Harry M. and Mary Carson Simpson in Charleston, West Virginia and passed away gracefully at his home surrounded by his family on July 11, 2014. He attended the Army Language School in Monterey, California and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force as a Linguist on Okinowa during the Cold War in the 1950s. He was of the Presbyterian faith, but his real religion was fishing the streams only found in West Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Charles C. Simpson of Charleston West Virginia. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Ann Mullins Simpson; his two sons Chip and Matthew of Bossier City, Louisiana; grandchildren, Laurel and Logan Simpson and a brother, James L. Simpson of the Villiages of Florida.
