Jackie Bison
Princeton, LA – Jackie Wayne Bison of Princeton, La, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 28th, 2018. He was born on January 29, 1941 in Harrison County, TX to Clinton. L Bison and Grace Chevalier Adcock. A graduate of Waskom High School, Jackie joined the Coast Guard in 1959 where he served in Alaska aboard the U.S.C.G.C. Clover. He was a partner in Bison Valve Service, LLC with his brother Charles for 17 years. Jackie was a Master Mason, Master of the 32 Degree and Master of the Queensborough Lodge from 1993-1994. He was also a member of the Shriners, Scottish Right and Red River Road Runners.
Jackie is survived by his beloved wife Anne Matthews Bison; his three daughters, Beth Bison Huddelston of Palestine, TX; Jo-Anna Bison Slate of Chandler, TX (husband, Michael Slate); Jennifer Bison Coyle of The Woodlands, TX (husband, Wes Coyle); two step-children, Kim Jeane Adams of Shreveport, LA (husband, Ed Adams) and Andy Jeane of Stillwater, OK (wife, Andrea Jeane) as well as grandchildren, Reggie Coker (wife Lindsey); Britni Huddleston Calzada (husband, James), Jess Huddleston (wife, Cassie ); Savannah Slate Turman (husband, Bryce ) of Palestine, Tx and Samantha Slate of Bullard, TX; Charlotte Coyle and Grafton Coyle of The Woodlands, TX; Sarah Kate Adams, Emma Claire Adams and Aubrey Jeane of Shreveport, La; Alexys Finley and Kyler Finley of Stillwater, OK and 12 great-grandchildren.
Jackie is also survived by his brother Charles Bison (wife, Mildred) of Shreveport, LA, nephew Stacey Bison and nieces Becky Bison, Lynn Cooper (husband, Gary) and Cheryl Hogan.
Jackie was proceeded in death by his father Clinton L. Bison, mother Grace Chevalier Adcock, step-father Jack Adcock, sister Hellon Bison and brother Gene Bison.
Jackie was loved by everyone that knew him and he never met a stranger. He was incredibly funny and left everyone who knew him with a smile on their face.
A friends and family visitation will be held on Thursday, May 31st from 2:00-4:00 pm at Auld’s Funeral Home located at 7849 E. Kings Highway, Shreveport, LA.
In lieu of flowers, donations can made to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital.
