Obituary: James Edwin Clark Jr. “Jim”

2495

James Edwin Clark Jr. “Jim” (Born March 23, 1956) ended his fight with cancer and left his life on earth December 5th at 6:00 a.m. Jim was a fun loving Christian man of many talents who loved his family more than life itself. He was a world champion competitive shooter, pilot, hunter and lover of the outdoors. He was owner of CLARK Custom Guns in Princeton, LA (a leader in the industry of custom gunsmithing) and co-star of the reality TV show Shootout Lane. Jim held numerous national and world championship shooting titles and was considered to be one of the best gunsmiths who ever lived. In the realm of shooting he was most known for his speed, endurance, flexibility and accuracy. (Often surpassing those more than half his age.) Jim was active in forming the Keithville volunteer fire department, served on various law enforcement departments, and worked with our nations special forces. But more important than all his professional accomplishments, to all who knew him Jim was a kind, big-hearted man, always ready to lend a helping hand and a word of teasing to those he loved.

A celebration of Jim’s life will be held on Friday, December 11th, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the University Church of Christ Family Life Center, 2045 East 70th Street, Shreveport LA.
