BOSSIER CITY – Funeral services will be held for James H. Evans, 83, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will be receiving friends at 10:00 a.m., prior to the service.
James was born in Baltimore, MD to Mr. and Mrs. James P. Evans. He joined the Army, National Guard and later, the Air Force and retired after serving his country for over 25 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother; Don Evans and longtime girlfriend; Marty Whitten. James was survived by sons; Scott Evans and James Evans, step-daughters Shirley Alley, Connie McKenzie and Barbara Tank, step-son; Jim Whitten, grandchildren; Lindsey Evans, Natasha Evans and James L. Evans II, step-grandchildren; Robbie Thompson, Stacey Thompson and several great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Dr. San Pedro, Dr. Eaves, Dr. Zabanch and Dr. Becker and the nursing staff at Willis Knighton Bossier for the care they have shown “Pops” and his family.
