James Israel Coile, Sr.

Plain Dealing, LA- Memorial graveside services for Mr. James Israel Coile, Sr., age 87, will be held 10:00 am, Tuesday, July 12, 2016 Salem Cemetery, Plain Dealing, with Bro. James Hill officiating, under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Plain Dealing, LA.
Visitation will be held 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Monday, July 11, 2016 at Bailey Funeral Home, Plain Dealing, LA.

Mr. Coile was born on April 16, 1929 to Israel and Annie Gray Shaver Coile in Plain Dealing, LA and passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at his home in Plain Dealing. He was a native and lifelong resident of this area and was a member of the Plain Dealing Baptist Church. He was employed with L. E. Meyers Highline Construction company for 42 years and will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and greatgrandfather.

He is survived by his children, Billie Kaye Jackson of Dry Fork, VA, Rebecca Coile-Sharp (Bill) of Haughton, LA, Stacey Ray Hopwood (Bernie) of Clarksville, TN; James I. Coile, Jr. (Michael Leon) of Shreveport, LA; brother, Charles P. Coile of Ennis, TX; grandchildren, Tammy Gorbett (Michael) and Cyndi Jackson of Newport News, VA; Amy Davis (Buck) and Lindsay Walker (Richard) of Danville, VA, Eugenia Jackson of Newport News, VA, Carlton Wayne Jackson of Dry Fork, VA, Chris Hoyle (Jeni) of Ukiah, CA and James Hoyle of Fredericksburg, VA and twelve greatgrandchildren. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Coile was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 56 years, Billie Jean Dodson Coile; son, Bruce D. Coile; sisters, Patsy Ann Peterson, Betty Rae Rice and Lillie Mae Moree.

The family would like to thank his caregivers, Calvin Carter, Karmescha King, Ray Carter and Linda Johnson and staff of St. Joseph Hospice for their loving care of Mr. Coile.
