BOSSIER CITY, LA – Services for Jean Meyers were held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, July 22, 2016 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with Bro. Danny Bob Turner officiating. Interment followed in Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation was held at the funeral home on July 22 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (prior to the service).
She was born in Waskom, TX to Clarice and Lois Well on August 15, 1937. She was married to her best friend, Guy, for over 60 years. Being a homemaker and military wife, her life was dedicated to her husband and their four children, which she loved dearly. In her youth she enjoyed cheerleading and basketball.
Later in life she enjoyed traveling, fishing, gardening, sewing and quilting with her church friends to raise money for charities. Jean was a strong woman with a spirited personality, along with a giving and loving heart. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents; and son, Billy Edward Meyers.
She is survived by her loving husband, Guy E. Meyers; son, Randy Meyers and wife Brenda; son, Barry Meyers; daughter, Lois Renea Meyers; sister, Jerry Wells Dickerson; sister, JoAnn Earl Reimers and husband Josh; grandchildren, Courtney Meyers, Brandon Meyers, Aaron Meyers and wife Meredith, Taylor Meyers, Sydney Rich, and Justin Meyers; and great grandchildren, Preslee and Cash.
