HAUGHTON – Our Mother, Jennie L. Vice Ryan moved to Heaven June 7, 2015, to be with her Lord and Savior.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with Dr. Gevan Spinney, Pastor First Baptist Church Haughton, officiating. Interment will follow at Centuries Memorial Park on Mansfield Rd. in Shreveport. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home.
She was preceded in death by her mother Arrie Mae Vice Alexander and father Marvin K. Vice of Minden; sister Mae Dean Lynn and brother, Kaylor Vice. Left to cherish her memory are daughter Dianna Roark and husband Larry of Haughton, son David Davis and wife Darlene of Bossier City, sister Dimple Hoggard and husband Cecil of Memphis and Joe Ryan of Benton.
Mammaw Jennie was blessed with four grandchildren, Tamara Roark Boudreaux and Lauri Roark Pool of Cypress, TX, Jason Craig Roark of Shreveport, and Corey Yuska of Bossier City. Extra blessings were ten great-grands and two great-great grands.
Jennie was a former dental assistant for more than 25 years and served as President of the Louisiana Dental Assistant Association. She once enjoyed spending hours gardening resulting in beautiful flower gardens and transferring her artistic and creative talents into beautiful ceramics and paintings. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, she will be forever remembered and missed.
Much appreciation is expressed to caregivers at Pilgrim Manor and Grace Home in providing for her in her final years and days of her life.
