Johnnie Graham Ingles
BENTON, LA – Visitation for Johnnie Graham Ingles will be held on Friday, November 24, 2017 at 12:30pm at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City, LA with the funeral service to begin at 2:00pm. Burial will be held at Rose-Neath Cemetery on Swan Lake Rd following the service. Also a Time of Celebration of Johnnie’s life will be held at Promenade Hall, 5400 Benton Rd, Bossier City, LA immediately following the burial.
Johnnie was born on May 25, 1936 in Winn Parish to Cecil Graham and Ellen Lawrence Graham and departed this life on November 20, 2017 in Bossier City, LA. She resided in Benton, LA for many years and was retired from the United States Postal Service.
Johnnie was called Mom, Grammy, Sister and Wonderful Friend to name a few. She was introduced to square dancing by a co-worker and the fun began! She devoted many hours to the Southern Swingers Square Dancers and has often been referred to as the “backbone” of the club. Many people have been on the receiving end of her warm hospitality, FB tags, encouraging emails, beautiful smile and the laughter she ALWAYS brought with her.
Johnnie is preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Ingles and her parents.
She is survived by her son, Robert K. (Rob) Ingles of Bossier City LA ; “daughter”, Shelley Chamberlain and husband, Steve; grandchildren, Graham, Micah, Michaela Ingles and Shea Gillespie, two great-grandchildren and sisters, Doris Philyaw and husband, Martin of Greenwood LA, Mayme Zimmerman and husband, Raymond of Winnfield LA; several nieces, cousins and many friends.
Pallbearers will be Graham Ingles, Micah Ingles, Pete Copes, Paul Lerchie, Ken Vantiger and Mike Vantiger.
