Joshuah Fruge
BOSSIER CITY – Joshuah Delphan Fruge 38 of Bossier City, LA was killed after a tragic motor vehicle accident caused by a drunk driver on Thursday October 26, 2017. Joshuah was born on November 15th 1978 at Minden Medical Center.
He was raised in Homer, LA until the age of 7 when his family relocated to Houma, LA. In Houma he graduated from H.L. Bourgeois High School and made life long friends Kevin Lebouf ,Jason Tucker, Shawn Mcnamara, Jason Faciane, and Jason Thomas. After high school he moved back to Homer where he met and fell in love with his soulmate Veronica Benson and her precious son Jacob. Three years later came their wonderful son Pacey. Several years later they became one for life marrying in a dual ceremony with Veronica’s sister, Krystal Benson, who married her soulmate and Josh’s best friend Victor Al-Agha, better known as little brother, bonding them for eternity.
After many years living in various locations, aka gypsy souls, they ended up in Bossier City, LA working and raising their two beautiful children, living just 2 streets away from Krystal and Victor. Josh worked as an 18-wheeler operator with his good friend Brandon Yarnell at General Scrap and Iron. His passion was for his wife, his children, along with his family and friends especially his nieces and nephews. His love for them all was immeasurable. He LOVED music, it was in his soul. He walked to the beat of his own drum with all of his big heart.
He was a movie guru and knew them all. He loved laughing and being the life of the party. He lit up every room he entered. He was HUGE fan of the Dodgers and looking forward to them winning the World Series He also was a big Saints fan. He was quite the comedian always making people laugh. His spirit was infectious! You could not be in a bad mood around him. He never met a stranger and truly had the gift of gab. He was ONE of a kind that wa s loved dearly and will be truly missed by all. He will neve! r be forgotten.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather A.W. Reed and his grandmother Lavelle Reed “Teedoe”. He is survived by his “bright eyes” wife Veronica Benson Fruge, his children Jacob and Pacey, his mother Patti Fruge Powell, and husband John Powell, brother Reed McLendon and wife Maggie, sister Heather Hammond “Hodie”, sister Candice Guinn and husband Mark, Aunts and Uncles Alexis and Reggie Harvey, Janie and Todd Boudreaux, cousins Lou, Eric, Tiffany, Alex, Colin, Adam, Aaron, Jeremy, and Dustin. Nieces and nephews Hayden, Kelsey, Abby, McKenzie, Jayden, Canaan, Delaney, Noah, Joaquin, and Violet, as well as a plethora of other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held at Aulds Funeral Home on East Kings Hwy in Shreveport, Louisiana on Thursday, November 2, 2017, with viewing from 1:00pm – 3:00pm and the memorial beginning shortly after until 4 pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving).< /span>
