The Lord came Tuesday morning, December 8, 2015 to take our mama home.. A memorial service honoring the memory of our mama will be held this Saturday December 19, 2015, at Eastwood Baptist Church, Haughton Louisiana at Noon. She was 80 years old. Mama was born in Oklahoma and was a resident of Bossier City for 22 years. Mama’s love and passion was her family. She loved her 4 daughters, all of her grandchildren, great grandchildren, tons of niece’s and nephews and her siblings. Joyce was preceded in death by both of her parents, and her husband Jack Buffington. She is succeeded by her daughters, Dianne Buffington, Pamela Buffington Patton and son-in-law Jerry Patton, Brenda Buffington Tuttle and Jackie Buffington Shirley and son-in-law Mitchel Shirley, and also by her adopted son Mark Victory and fiance’ Teresa Delaney. Also succeeded by her grandchildren, Jason Patton and wife Kimberly, April Tuttle and husband Bobby Graham, and Kelly Tuttle and husband Mike Kelly, Vincent Leone and Hannah Shirley. Her great grandchildren, Jasper and Savana Patton, Joshua Graham, Mackenzie and Mikaela Kelly, and Brayden Leone. Also by her amazing sister Alma Jones and brother Bill Cummings. She has too many niece’s, nephew’s and cousins to name, but she loved them all. Everyone that met our mama just fell in love with her, they either called her mama or mamaw. She loved everyone of our friends as family. She was the most tender hearted and sweet lady that we have ever known. She was loved by so many and we will miss her until we see her again in Heaven. Her adopted son Mark Victory wrote a message for her….IN LOVING MEMORY OF JOYCE BUFFINGTON… JOYCE – Her name means an unbelievable and amazing person. She’s loving, funny, beautiful, sweet, caring and understandable. If you are related to her, friends with her or know her you are the luckiest person in the world. But name also means: a loving, devoted and devoted mother, wife, grandmother, great grandmother and sister to all her family. And to her all her friends that knew her, she gave her love and treated them all as family. She was a wonderful and beautiful lady and her heart overflowed with love for her family and friends, just as the hearts of her family and friends now overflow with sadness from missing her so much. But those same hearts are rejoicing and glad that she is now resting peacefully in Heaven with her husband Jack and her family members and friends that went before her to make a place with them in Heaven to be with God. Bless her and always keep her in your hearts and your memories, for she was a special and loving lady and she is smiling down upon us all knowing how much we love and miss her.
