Juanita Richardson
HAUGHTON – Celebration of Life Services for Juanita Meyers Richardson, age 79, of Haughton, LA will be held at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home Chapel on Friday November 17, 2017 at 3:30 PM. Dr. Gevan Spinney, Pastor of First Baptist Church Haughton, will be officiating the service. A time of visitation will be held at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM. prior to the service. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. Juanita was born January 8, 1938 in Harrisonburg, LA to Lonnie Martin Meyers and Alma LaCroix. And went home to be with the Lord on Monday November 13, 2017 in Shreveport, LA.
Juanita was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Haughton. She was a retired beautician and worked many years as a dedicated school bus driver for the Bossier Parish School System. She loved to cook and garden. Juanita was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and a friend to many. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She will be truly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Serving as pallbearers will be Tyler Baird, Aaron Ivey, Jay Lipinski, Garren Lipinski, Brad Dean, and Joel Shilling. Honorary pallbearers will be Jackson Mourad, Bryson Ivey, and Landon Baird.
Juanita is preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie and Alma Meyers; and her late husband Billy “Red” Richardson. She is survived by daughters, Linda Ivey (Bruce) and Lisa R. Henderson (Charlsa),; grandchildren, Ashley Mourad, Aaron Ivey (Katie), and Tyler Baird; great grandchildren, Madeline Mourad, Jackson Mourad, Bryson Ivey, and Landon Baird; sister, Muriel Warren; brothers, Lonnie M. Meyers Jr. (Darlene), Lester Meyers (Joyce), and Darrell Meyers (Carol).
