Kinsley “Baby Girl” Marie Schaffner
Kinsley “Baby Girl” Marie Schaffner was born July 23, 2014 in Bossier City, Louisiana. On December 11, 2015 her spirit left her fragile body. No matter what obstacle was in front of her, she would overcome it and be ready for the next one. This last battle she fought a good fight, but this one could not be won.
Although she was only on this earth for a very short time, she touched so many lives that are better for having known her. Even though she could not see with her eyes, she saw with her ears and always smiled. Her smile was radiant and infectious no matter how much pain she was in. Our hearts are so much better for having our little angle with us. She can now see, run, and play for she is in heaven and no longer in pain. Baby girl gave us so much joy during the short time we had with her.
Left to cherish her memory is her mother Taylor Schaffner and boyfriend Collin Hernandez, grandparents Jennifer and Juan Robles and Steve and Val Schaffner, great grandparents Mike and Debbie Bothel and Dottie and Gary Greene, great great grandmother Barbara Edwards and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who love her dearly.
The family would like to thank the many doctors and nurses who helped care for “Baby Girl”: Dr. Robert McVie, Dr. C. Notarianni, and Dr. T. Bah and pediatric staff at University Health, Pediatric HealthCare for Kids, and Shriners Hospital. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. G. Do, Dr. V. Carter and the PICU nursing/ancillary staff at WK South.
