BOSSIER CITY – Larry Jones of Bossier City, LA, passed away after a sudden illness on November 17, 2015. He was born to James Edward and Mildred Jeanne Jones on November 6, 1950, in Mobile, AL.
Larry is predeceased by his parents and sister, Debra Jeanne Jones. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary; sons, Larry J. Jones, Jr. and wife Karen of Maitland, FL, Matthew S. Jones of Benton, LA and David W. Paul and wife Ashley of Shreveport, LA.; and much loved grandchildren, Dillon Reed Jones and Margaret “Maggie” Elizabeth Jones of Maitland, FL. He left behind aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, all of whom loved him dearly. Larry never met a stranger and is survived by a multitude of friends who he regarded as brothers and sisters.
Larry served proudly in the U. S. Army during the Viet Nam era and was a 32nd Degree Mason.
Visitation will be held at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home in Haughton, LA from 9:00 AM till 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 24, 2015. Military honors will follow at Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Keithville, LA at 12:30 PM the same day.
