Obituary: Lois V. Rachal

BOSSIER CITY – Services to celebrate the life of Lois V. Rachal, 90, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home. Dr. Randy Harper, pastor of Bellaire Baptist Church, will officiate. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will receive guests on Tuesday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Lois was born on February 7, 1925, in Birmingham, AL and left this life to join her Lord and Savior, on Friday, April 17, 2015. She was one of two children born to Louis B. and Irene V. (McCain) Robbins. Lois had been a faithful member of Bellaire Baptist Church since 1972 and served diligently in several capacities. She was the record keeper for the Faith Sunday school class, member of the Bellaire Baptist Church choir, and worked in the Bellaire Day Care. Lois was also a member of the Eastern Star, PWOC, and had worked as a school crossing guard for Bellaire Elementary School. She enjoyed spending time with friends and neighbors, but more than anything else, she enjoyed and loved her family. Lois was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed.

Lois is preceded in death by her loving husband, Albert L. Rachal; brother, Louis Robbins; and her parents. She leaves behind to cherish wonderful memories, her son, Charles Louis Rachal; daughters, Carmen Recchia, and Helen Marie Johnson; grandchildren, Courtney Johnson, Crystal Johnson, and Amanda Recchia Oswalt; and great-grandchildren, Joely Rosenberg and Madison Grace Oswalt.
