Lorry Ann “Punkin” Ford was born October 2, 1964 in Shreveport, LA to the union of L.V. and Jessie Lee Sumpter Ford.
She accepted Christ as her personal savior at Morning Star Baptist Church in Plain Dealing, LA, where she remained a faithful member until she was called home on August 9, 2018. Lorry was a 1982 graduate of Plain Dealing High School and continued her education at Southern University -Shreveport. She was a caring and warm hearted person and affectionately cared for others at Vivian Healthcare Center for over 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, L.V. and Jessie Lee Ford and sister, Annette B. Watkins.
She leaves to cherish her memory: two daughters, Andrea Ford Harris (Matthew) and Phylicia Ford-Lyles (Mark) both of Plain Dealing, LA two sons, Demarcus Ford of Plain Dealing, LA and Desmond Ford of Seattle, WA: six sisters, Loretta Murray (O.T.) of Lafayette, LA Charlesetta Ford Lavergne of Baton Rouge, LA, Kathy Neal (James T.) of Plain Dealing, LA, Angela Ford Fisher of Sugerland, TX, Brenda Ford of Bossier City, LA, and Shirley McShann (Bobbie) of Shreveport, LAand one brother, Johnny Kinsey of Baton Rouge, LA. : five grandchildren Tanaisha Daniels, Deshandrea Daniels, Kaylin Harris, Sanaa Lyles, and MacKenzie Lyles all of Plain Dealing, LA. and many more loving relatives and friends.
