BOSSIER CITY, LA – A funeral service for Marie Brock will be at 12 noon, Monday, August 22, 2016 at Barksdale United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Kendall Docter and Rev. David Fortuna. Visitation will be at the church on Monday prior to the service, beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Rose Memorial Park in Hammond, LA. Marie was born August 15, 1922 in LaJunta, CO to Harry and Francis Burnett and died August 19, 2016 in Bossier City. She was a member of Barksdale UMC and was retired from the ARC of Caddo-Bossier after 41 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Scott Holley; brother, Alfred Burnett and sister, Ruthie Burnett.
Marie is survived by her daughters, Mary Roberts, Pam Ingram and Sandra Holley and husband, Richard; grandchildren, Glenn Roberts, Cyndi Hanson, Katie Ingram, Vanessa Ingram, Alex Ingram, Marie Holley, Gayle Beyl and John Holley; 11 great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren and her brothers and sisters, Rosa Williams, Louise Hinton, Leland Burnett, Nadine Foster, Howard Burnett and Jane A. McLaughlin.
Honoring Marie as pallbearers will be, Glenn Roberts, Richard Holley, Richard Hargus, Chris Hansen, Luis Murillo and Eric Clark.
The family requests memorials be made in Marie’s name to the ARC of Caddo-Bossier, 351 Jordan St., Shreveport, LA 71101.
