HAUGHTON – Services for Marion Gail Battlefield, 77, will be held on Friday, January 16, 2015 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with Dr. Scott Teutsch officiating. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Hill Crest Funeral Home on Thursday, January 15, 2015.
Gail was born on September 16, 1937 in Erwin, TN and passed away gracefully surrounded by her loving family on January 13, 2015 in Shreveport, LA. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, whose love was never ending. She was a very forgiving person of strong faith and a great love for the Lord. She was lovingly known as “Granny B” because of her strong love for others.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Carl Ray Battlefield Sr; seven brothers and sisters. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, son, Gary Battlefield (Petra); daughter, Connie Battlefield (Jerry): grandchildren, Misty Whitlock (Alvin), Gary “Tater” Battlefield Jr., Ryan Battlefield (Crystal), Celeste Battlefield, Karla Watts (Don Paul) and Amber Holt and 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Bernice Sanders and brother, Gene Stallard (Martha).
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
