BOSSIER CITY, LA – Services for Mary Knowles, 89, will Be held 2:00p.m.Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Rose-Neath’s Bossier Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. R.L. Bethley of Asbury Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service on Saturday. Interment will be at Centuries Memorial Park, Shreveport, La.
Mary has been an Active Member of Asbury.
Mary loved the Lord and was an outgoing happy person always looking for a new adventure. She never met a stranger and was constancy looking for ways to help others. She loved bowling, square dancing, traveling, and card games. She will be deeply missed by her family and numerous friends.
Mary passed away on December 27, 2015. She has been a resident of Bossier City for more than 50 years.
Mary was preceded in death by three husbands, E. T. Durr, M. C. Brantley, Harold Knowles; parents, William and Mattee Bolen; and two brothers, Sam Bolen and Donald Bolen, and one sister, Billie Monzingo.
She is survived by son, Tom Durr and wife Idell of Sacramento, CA; and daughter, Mary S. Durr of Shreveport, LA.
The family request that memorials be made to Asbury Sanctuary fund or the giver’s choice of charity.
