BOSSIER CITY – Michael Dondero Susano, a retired IRS Revenue Agent and CPA, died Friday, January 16, 2015, of pneumonia at the Northwest Louisiana War Veterans Home. He was 81 years of age. He was preceded in death by Nidia Quesada, his beloved wife of 48 years. Mr. Susano was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and lived in greater New Orleans the better part of 48 years before relocating to Zachary, LA and later Shreveport, LA. He graduated from Knoxville Catholic School and the University of Tennessee. While employed at IRS in New Orleans, he acted as technical adviser to IRS District Legal Office for 9 years. He served with the US Army in Korea. He was a parishioner of St. Benilde Catholic Church in Metarie, LA. Survivors include a daughter, Marie (Lucy) T. Gallagher, RN and her husband Michael James of Plano, TX; and a son, Michael Vittorio Susano, MD, and wife Lisa Cariere of Shreveport; two brothers, Judge Charles D. Susano of Knoxville, and Thomas Susano of Blacksburg, VA; six grandchildren, Christopher Gallagher,MD, Scott Gallagher, Emma Susano, Caleb Cariere, Noah Susano and Max Susano. A Mass will be said on February 7, 2015, at 10 am at St. Catherine of Sienna Church in Metarie, LA.
