BOSSIER CITY – Honoring Bobby’s wishes to be cremated, a memorial service to remember his life will be held for his family and friends at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. Services will be conducted by Rev. Billy Pierce. Inurnment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park.
Robert (Bobby) F. Scholes passed away August 7, 2015, at Willis Knighton Bossier after his health started to wither. He was 90 years of age.
He was born February 20, 1925, in Memphis, TN, the son of C.E. and Lucille Scholes. Bobby graduated from Greenwood High School in 1945, and went on to Draughn College and graduated in the art of bookkeeping. He held the certificate of being the oldest notary in this area.
Bobby is preceded in death by his wife, Freddie Scholes; son, Mark L. Scholes; brother, Pete Scholes; and his parents. He is survived by his daughters, Sandra Richardson and husband Allen, and Sharon Bowie; son, Robert C. Scholes and wife Carol; and his sister, Earline L. Ellis of Greenwood, MS. Glen W. McElroy, Pamela Yorba, Carolyn Lagrone, and Kayla Marble are the oldest of 19 grandchildren. Bobby is also survived by 25 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
