Bossier City, LA – Services to honor the life of Rudolph Parmer, 85, were held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home. Entombment followed in Hill Crest Memorial Mausoleum. Visitation began at 12:00 p.m. prior to the service.

Rudolph passed away on Friday, August 31, 2018. He was born in Randolph Co., Alabama on May 1, 1933, to parents, Clarence and Merline Parmer, and was one of two sons.

He served his country in the U.S. Air Force as a Master Mechanic and retired as SSgt with twenty years of service. Rudolph continued his career as a civil servant for the next twenty-three years. Upon retirement from the Civil Service, he continued as a master mechanic, working on everything from personal vehicles to fire trucks. His passion was old cars; working on them, restoring them, and just enjoying them.

Rudolph was preceded in death by his son, Steven R. Parmer; brother, Vernon Parmer; and his parents. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 58 years, Pearl; daughter, Susan Parmer, grandson, Joshua Parmer; and great-grandson, Oberyn Parmer.
