Sigrid H. Cross
VIVIAN/BOSSIER CITY, LA – Sigrid H. Cross, 71, lost her fight with cancer and passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on November 8, 2017. Immediate family conducted a personal ceremony to spread her ashes in Vivian, Louisiana, per her wishes.
Mrs. Cross was born August 30, 1946 in Minden, Louisiana to Marion Posey Hoss and Ozelle Broughton Hoss. She worked as an executive secretary for many years, then later she shared her love of books with others as a librarian at the Central Branch of the Bossier Parish Library.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband of 30 years, James H.“Jim” Cross. Survivors are her children, Sean Strother and wife Delilah of Mercer Island, WA, Heidi Wilson of Bossier City, LA, Courtney Whitley and husband Eddie of Keatchie, LA, and Danny Cross of Bossier City, LA, and grandchildren, Aidan, Bella, Brynn, Abby, Michael, Canyon, Haylie, Zachary, Gracyn and Ellisen, all of whom loved their Nanna dearly.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Regional Hospice and Professional Sitting Services for their care and compassion in her final days.
The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be sent to the Central Branch of the Bossier Parish Library.
