BOSSIER CITY – Memorial services for Thomas E. Davis, 78, of Bossier City, LA will be held Monday, February 20, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. in First United Methodist Church, Couch Chapel, Shreveport, LA and February 23, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. in First United Methodist Church, Ringgold, LA. Visitations will take place directly after both services.
Thomas E. Davis was born February 10, 1939 in San Antonio, TX; the only son of Mavis Oakley of Arcadia, LA and Henry E. Davis of Ringgold, LA. He attended LA Tech before entering the United States Navy in September, 1961. He retired as a Captain after serving as a Fighter Pilot, Test Pilot, Air Combat Maneuvering Instructor, fighter squadron Commanding Officer and War Planner for two commands.
Left to cherish his memory include his wife, Martha D. Davis; daughters, Lisa Clayborn and husband, Alan, and Michelle Smith and husband, Brett; grandchildren, Shannon Maloney, Devon Laurence and husband, Jake, Thomas Clayborn, Carly Smith and Koa Smith; great grandchildren, Abbigail Clayborn and Olivia Laurence; and a number of other relatives and friends.
