HAUGHTON – Services celebrating the life of Velma Lee Stansell Beavers will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jerry Dean and Pastor David Scott officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will be receiving friends on Friday, April 7, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Velma was born on February 7, 1935 in Holly Ridge, LA to William and Nena Stansell and passed away on April 4, 2017. She was a member of Pentecostals of Bossier City for over 50 years and retired from Bossier Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Troy Lee Beavers.
Velma is survived by her sons, Gary Beavers and wife Cheryl, Richard Beavers and wife Gina; daughters, Wanda Gunderson and husband Roger, Treva Wreyford and husband Larry, Tina Beavers Manshack and husband Mike; nine grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; twin sister, Alma Fristoe; brother, John Stansell and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Weylin Beavers, Brian Beavers, Travis Beavers, Hunter Faircloth, Michael Manshack and Chris Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be Glen Armour and Clay Faircloth.
