Mr. Harlan Beene, Jr. was a native and lifelong resident of Bossier City, LA. He graduated from Bossier High School in 1959. Harlan had many talents, including farming, raising cattle, top notch race car driver, fabricator and oil man. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a very unique individual, there were no grey areas with him, he lived life on his own terms and in his own way. Harlan was always ready to lend a helping hand to his family and friends, often anonymously. If you met him you’d have to like him, if you wanted to know where you stood with him he would offer his opinion, whether you liked it or not. No doubt most all people that he touched had a Harlan, Jr., story to tell. The world will not be the same without him as he will be missed by all.
