BOSSIER CITY – Will Rogers Weaver, 80 years old, of Bossier City, LA went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 6, 2015. A memorial service will be held in his honor on Friday, October 2nd, at 11:00 a.m. at Bellaire Baptist Church with Dr. Randy Harper officiating.

Will was born in 1935 during the great depression to Finettie and Barney L. Weaver, Sr., in Sapulpa, OK. He was the youngest of five siblings. Will had a love for God and graduated from Ozark Bible College with a Bachelor of Divinity. He married the love of his life, Jeanne Elifritz of Tulsa, OK in 1964. Together they began their journey in life by sharing God’s love to those whom they came into contact. Early in their marriage, they pastored churches in Indiana, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma, Texas and ending their ministry here in Bossier City, LA. Will loved his family and his dogs. He never met a stranger and always had a joke and a smile for everyone.

Left to treasure his memory are his wife of 51 years, Jeanne; sister, Lorraine Vernon and husband, BJ; sister-in-law, Betty Weaver, nephews and a niece; son, David Weaver and wife, Jeannie; daughter, Mary Quigley and husband, Scott; daughter, Joy Springfield and husband, Stephen; and seven grandchildren.

For his care the family would like to thank Willis-Knighton Pierremont 5th and 6th floor Doctors and staff, Promise Hospital 1st floor Doctor and staff and Highland Place 1st floor Doctor and staff.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bellaire Baptist Church or a charity of your choice.
