BOSSIER CITY – Graveside services for Ms. Willie Dale Nix, age 78, will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, November 21, 2014, at the Plain Dealing Cemetery, Plain Dealing, LA, with Bro. Bryan Reed officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Plain Dealing, LA.
Visitation will be held Thursday, November 20, 2014, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
Ms. Nix was born on December 13, 1935 to Odis Lee and Daisy Lee Alford Nix in Plain Dealing, LA and passed away Monday, November 17, 2014 in Bossier City, LA. She was a native of Plain Dealing and a resident of Bossier City for over 50 years. She was saved at the age of 15 at a Billy Graham crusade and was a member of the First Baptist Church, Bossier City, LA. She was a graduate of Benton High School and Northwestern University in Natchitoches, LA. She retired from the Social Security Administration and has been employed with the Bossier Parish Library for many years.
She is survived by nieces Cindy Nix and Kim Howell, both of Bossier City, LA; nephews, James Kevin Butts of Lewisville, TX; James Nix and wife, Lisa and, Michael Nix, all of Benton, LA. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Betty Nix Butts and brother, Walter H. Nix.
