The Bossier City Optimist Club honored local law enforcement with a special luncheon Wednesday.
The club held a luncheon in honor of Law Enforcement Officer Appreciation Day at Ralph and Kacoo’s seafood restaurant.
“We are so appreciative of what all you do to keep the city of Bossier safe,” said Optimist Club President Gloria Yantis.
Yantis welcomed attendees and special guests, one officer from local law enforcement agencies including the Bossier City Police Department, Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office, Louisiana State Police, Bossier City Marshall’s Office, and Barksdale Air Force Base Security.
“Thank you for this award, it is an honor and a privilege to serve the city of bossier,” said BSO Deputy Cedric Payne.
Chairman Frances Barefield presented the awards to the winners: Officer James Blount IV, from the Bossier Police Department, MSgt. Sergeant Andre L. McBride from Barksdale Air Force Base, Trooper First Class William Hughes and Captain Shelley Anderson of the Bossier City Marshal’s Office.
