Drivers in north Bossier Parish should prepare for traffic delays as road
crews begin overlay work on Airline Drive, a key corridor in the area.
Starting Saturday, contracted crews for the Bossier Parish Police Jury will
begin resurfacing Airline Drive between Kingston Road and Linton Road. In
addition, overlay work will be performed on Linton Road, from Airline
Drive to the Flat River Road bridge.
Work is scheduled to take place on Saturday, Monday, and possibly Tuesday,
depending on weather conditions and progress. Flagmen will be present to
direct traffic, and motorists should expect lane closures and slow-moving
traffic throughout the construction zone.
“This is a high-traffic area, and we’re asking drivers to be patient and
cautious while crews complete this important work,” said a Police Jury
spokesperson. “These improvements will enhance safety and extend the life
of the roadway.”
Drivers are strongly encouraged to plan alternate routes or allow extra travel
time during this period. The Police Jury reminds all motorists to follow
posted signage and flagmen’s instructions for their safety and the safety of
the workers.
