ACS Relay for Life kick off party set for Tuesday

The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Bossier Parish is offering an opportunity for the community to show their awareness and support in the fight against cancer.

Bossier Parish Paint The Town Purple Kick-Off Party will be held Feb. 18 at 5:30 p.m. at Margaritaville Resort Casino. Hosted on the second floor of the Margaritaville Restaurant, this will serve as an opportunity for Bossier Parish businesses and residents to pick up information needed on how to become involved.

To help finish the fight, residents can Paint the Town Purple from Feb. 18 through April 25 by doing other activities, including putting up purple-themed displays in storefronts, swapping our white bulbs for purple bulbs, or selecting a day for everyone to wear purple at work or school. Businesses can also ask for donations for purple items sold in their stores. Proceeds will support the American Cancer Society.

For more information about how to participate in painting your town purple or volunteering for the Relay For Life of Bossier Parish, call 318.219.1668 or visit www.relayforlife.org/bossierla.

The American Cancer Society saves lives and creates more birthdays by helping people stay well, by helping people get well, by finding cures and by fighting back. For more information, contact the American Cancer Society at 1-800-227-2345 or visit us at cancer.org.
