Parish runners fare well in national junior track meets

Parkway junior Cole Billiot and Airline freshman Will Dart both fared well in national junior track meets.

Billiot earned All-America honors with a seventh-place finish in the 15-16 1,500-meter run in the AAU Junior Olympics in Houston. Billiot ran a 4:13.39. Jonathan Myrthil won in 4:04.76.

Dart finished 23rd in the 13-14 800-meter run in the USATF Junior Olympics in Sacramento, Calif. He finished 14th in the preliminaries in a personal-best time of 2:08.54 and a 2:12.25 in the finals. Erick Steward won in 1:59.62.
