Bossier Parish property tax notices were mailed Friday, and homeowners can make their payments via mail, online or walk-in at four convenient locations.
If mailing a payment, send it to the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office, Property Tax Department, P.O. Box 850, Benton, LA 71006.
Walk-in tax payments can be made at one of the Sheriff’s substations:
- Viking Drive Substation, 2510 Viking Drive in Bossier City, 965-3500.
- Benton Substation, 7076 La. Highway 3 in Benton, 965-3065.
- Arthur Ray Teague Substation, Arthur Ray Teague Parkway at the foot of the Shreveport-Barksdale Boulevard Bridge, 549-3317.
Payments can also be made at the tax office on the first floor of the Bossier Parish Courthouse at 204 Burt Boulevard, 965-3400. All locations will be open 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, except for holidays. You can pay in person with MasterCard, Visa, check or cash. All credit card transactions will incur a five-percent service charge.
To pay online, visit www.bossiersheriff.com and click on the “Pay Property Tax Online” tab at the left-hand side of the screen.
The deadline to pay property taxes is Dec. 31, and additional charges will be applied for late payments.
Each of the substations will also have barrels where residents can drop off canned goods or non-perishable items for Operation Blessing, the Sheriff’s food bank program that provides a hearty Christmas food box for elderly and needy families.
