The Parkway boys and girls teams and the Benton boys team are all ranked in the top 10 in the Louisiana Track and Field Coaches Association Large Schools (Classes 5A, 4A and 3A) cross country polls.
The Parkway boys team, led by senior Hayden Kingfisher, is ranked No. 3 behind Class 3A John Curtis and Class 5A Jesuit. Defending Class 4A state champion Benton is ranked ninth. Benton is the highest-ranked Class 4A team.
The defending Class 5A state champion girls team, led by Junior Sara Funderburk, is ranked No. 5. Mandeville is No. 1.
The Class 5A and 4A state meets are Nov. 18 in Natchitoches.
