The Parkway Lady Panthers won the consolation title in their own New Year’s tournament with a 59-58 overtime victory over Booker T. Washington Saturday.
Chelsea Randle hit a shot with three seconds left in OT to give the Lady Panthers the victory.
Randle led Parkway with 18 points, and Tyra Kidd added 15.
In Friday’s semifinals, Bossier fell to El Dorado, Ark., 72-46, and Louisiana New Tech at Plain Dealing dropped a 63-24 decision to eventual champion Green Oaks.
Gabbie Mason led the Lady Kats with 15 points. Deaspria Harris topped New Tech with nine.
Parkway downed Captain Shreve 61-59 in overtime in the consolation semifinals. Wisdom Watts hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to win it, part of her team-high 18 points.
Kidd added 14 points, Kendall Lewis 13 and Randle 12.
New Tech defeated Bossier 49-37 in the third-place game Saturday.
Teauna Perry paced the Lady Lions with 19 points. Harris and LaDravious Briggs scored nine each.
Tiffany Lynn and Bree West had seven points each for Bossier.
In non-tournament girls action Friday, the Haughton Lady Bucs downed Lakeside 63-38, and the Airline Lady Vikings fell to West Monroe 54-36.
Brittany Robinett paced Haughton with 21 points. Mattie McCoy added 18, and Mikayla Barber had 12.
Hannah Brewster led Airline with 11 points.
In a non-tournament boys game, Haughton downed Lakeside 70-61.
Javonte Woodard led the Bucs with 24 points. PJ Douglas added 19, and Damien Sears chipped in with 10.
In Tuesday’s boys and action, Bossier hosts Parkway, Haughton visits Benton, Airline hosts Ruston and Louisiana New Tech at Plain Dealing hosts Booker T. Washington.
