Rob Harper and Tyler Schilling combined for a no-hitter as Parkway edged Airline 4-3 in Dixie Majors play Monday night.

It was Airline’s first loss after seventh straight wins this summer.

Parkway, which is known as the Bossier Padres in Dixie play, has lost only twice this summer.

Parkway scored two runs in the bottom of the first after Airline took a 1-0 lead in its first at-bat.

Parkway added two in the third to take a 4-1 lead. Airline rallied in the fourth with two runs thanks to three walks, a wild pitch and a suicide squeeze.

Airline put runners at first and second with no outs in the sixth, but Schilling made a nice catch on a bunt attempt and doubled the runner off second.

Dylan Whaley had two hits for Parkway. Schilling also had two, including an RBI on a bunt. Kyle Laverdiere had an RBI single to right field in the first inning. Carson Vaughn had a triple.

Chad Poulson took the loss for Airiine. Andrew Maxey had a solid outing in relief.

In other Dixie Majors action Monday, the Haughton Rangers won by forfeit over Byrd’s No. 1 team.

Haughton coach Justin Ginn said Byrd pitchers hit six Haughton batters in the game. In the sixth, with Byrd up 7-2, Byrd’s coach and pitcher received warnings, Ginn said. Byrd’s pitcher hit the next batter and was tossed from the game. Then the Yellow Jackets forfeited, Ginn said.
