Bossier Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a student at Parkway High School Thursday afternoon for making threatening comments about a possible shooting at the school.
The 16-year-old male student was charged with terrorizing and taken to the Ware Detention Center in Coushatta.
The school administration and school resource officer at Parkway were informed by other students of the threats, and the SRO quickly initiated an investigation.
“We simply cannot stress enough just how serious we take any threat to other students, faculty, or to the school,” said Bossier Sheriff Julian Whittington. “The safety and security of our young people is paramount at the Bossier Sheriff’s Office, and our policy is rather simple when it comes to making threats to harm other people – zero tolerance!
“Don’t do it, or you will be investigated, and you will be arrested.”
