Parkway swept the boys’ and girls’ titles in the Byrd Invitational cross country meet last Saturday.
Parkway senior Hayden Kingfisher won the boys’ individual competition in 15:55.99. The Panthers had six other top-nine finishers — Jacob Hammonds, 3rd, 16:37; Nathan Poovey, 5th, 16:50; Cole Billiot, 6th, 17:04; Prynceton Fant, 7th, 17:09; DJ Morgan, 8th, 17:10 and Cameron Rogers, 9th, 17:17.
Parkway won easily with 22 points to 133 for Caddo Magnet.
Parkway had six of the top 10 finishers in the girls’ division — Celeste Cordova, 4th, 21:42; Kenzie Langen, 5th, 21:46; Cassidy Cummings, 6th, 21:59; Rylie McConnell, 7th, 22:01; Morgan Ersoff, 8th, 22:03; and Ariel McGaffey, 10th, 22:07.
The defending Class 5A state champ Lady Panthers scored 30 points to 108 for runner-up Byrd.
