Parkway senior Matt Harper won the Super Heavyweight division in the Division I state power lifting championships Saturday at West Monroe High School.
Harper set a state record with 1,805 total pounds in the squat, dead lift and bench press.
Harper was an All-Parish defensive lineman on the Panthers’ Class 5A state runner-up team last season.
