Police identify victims in murder suicide

Bossier City Police today released the names of the man and woman involved in an apparent murder-suicide that occurred last week at a residence in the 2400 block of Tulip Street. Police were called to the scene at approximately 10:15 p.m. last Thursday after a family member found 56-year old Phouthasak Inthilatvongsy and 50-year old Boulao Sanouvong unresponsive in a bedroom inside their residence. Investigators say both had sustained gunshot wounds.

Based on information and evidence found at the scene, detectives with the BCPD Violent Crimes Unit and the Bossier Coroner’s Office say it appears Inthilatvongsy shot and killed Sanouvong and then shot himself. Detectives say it appears both had been deceased for several hours when their bodies were discovered. Police recovered a firearm at the scene.
