Bossier City police and Bossier Crime Stoppers are asking the public to help identify the suspect who robbed a local motel and hit an employee there over the weekend.
Bossier City Police responded to a reported robbery just before 3:30 a.m. Sunday at the Bossier Inn and Suites in the 700 block of Diamond Jacks Blvd. The suspect entered the front door of the lobby where he jumped over the counter, grabbed the clerk and demanded money from the cash drawer. During the incident the suspect struck the cashier in the head with an object, possibly a firearm. The victim tells police she did not see the suspect produce a weapon however she felt what may have been a firearm concealed on the suspect when he grabbed her. The suspect got an undisclosed amount of money from the cash drawer before fleeing on foot.
The clerk was treated at the scene by Bossier City Fire Department personnel but she did not require transported to a hospital. Security cameras recorded images of the suspect. The victim describes him as a black male. He was wearing all black or dark blue clothing with a hat that had a white band. The suspect’s clothing appears to be light blue in color on a portion of the video apparently due to the lighting in that particular location.
