Update: Police make arrest in weekend vandal spree

Update:  Detectives with the Bossier City Police Department’s Property Crimes Unit have arrested a 16-year-old Bossier City boy in connection with the incidents. The teen was booked into the Bossier Juvenile Detention Center on 11 felony counts of simple criminal property damage and 20 misdemeanor counts of simple criminal property damage. In accordance with state law, the name of the suspect cannot be release since he is a juvenile.

Bossier City police are looking for the person or persons responsible for slashing dozens of tires on multiple parked vehicles over the weekend in residential areas of south Bossier City.

The incidents reportedly happened during the overnight hours this past Saturday night-Sunday morning in south Bossier City including the Bellaire, Savannah Place and Golden Meadows subdivisions.

Approximately 30 vehicles and three trailers were involved with a total of 48 tires slashed. Four of the vehicles also had windows broken out.

Detectives with the Property Crimes Unit are investigating these cases and ask anyone who has information that could help catch those responsible to contact Bossier Crime Stoppers at (318) 424-4100.
