The Bossier Bearkats hit eight 3-pointers in a 61-41 victory over Mansfield in the quarterfinals of the 76th Bossier Invitational sponsored by Bossier Federal Credit Union on Thursday night at Bossier.
The Bearkats (13-6) face North Caddo (14-4) in the semifinals Friday night at 7. The Class 2A Rebels rallied from a 17-point second-half deficit to defeat Class C New Living World 93-86 in double OT.
The other semifinal at 8:30 pits Natchitoches Central (13-3) against Ruston (13-3). The Chiefs downed Green Oaks 67-55 and the Bearcats rolled past Doc Edwards champion Fair Park 53-30 on Thursday.
Bossier pulled away from Mansfield with a 16-2 run in the first half keyed by Larry Robinson III. He scored 20 of his game-high 24 points in the first half, including 14 in the second quarter, and hit three 3-pointers.
Bossier led 33-16 at the half and eventually upped the lead to 30.
Robinson also had three steals. Travis Manning had eight points and six assists. Quatavious Capers had three assists. Antonio Davis had six rebounds and three blocks.
In a consolation game, Benton fell to Huntington 64-50.
District 1-5A boys and girls play resumes Friday night. Parkway hosts Airline and Haughton hosts Byrd. In District 1-1A, Plain Dealing hosts Ringgold in boys and girls games.
