Necka Wynn sank two free throws with 2.3 seconds left in overtime to lift the Bossier Lady Kats to a 54-52 victory over the West Monroe Lady Rebels in the championship game of the Bossier Lady Kats Invitational on Saturday night.
Wynn led the Lady Kats with 15 points, and Tia Walker added 12. Brittany Wallace and Destiny Thomas scored nine each. Jahquell Robinson led West Monroe with 18.
The game was nip-and-tuck all the way. It was tied at 24 at the half and Bossier led 37-34 going into the fourth.
The Lady Kats led by two late, but the Lady Rebels scored with 1 second left to send it into overtime tied at 44.
Bossier, which improved to 6-2 under new head coach DeShawn Williams, hosts the Plain Dealing Lady Lions on Tuesday night.
