The Parkway Panthers rolled to a 41-7 first-quarter lead against the Booker T. Washington Lions and cruised to a 48-7 non-district victory at Preston Crownover Stadium.
The Panthers improved to 6-1 overall. Outmanned BTW dropped to 1-6. Parkway returns to District 1-5A action this Friday against Haughton (5-2, 1-2). The Bucs lost to Airline 37-21 Friday night.
Parkway quarterback Keondre Wudtee completed eight of 12 passes for 166 yards and two touchdowns in very limited action. He also scored on a 17-yard run.
The TD passes went to Elijah Rivers (38 yards) and Terrace Marshall (14 yards).
Marshall caught two passes for 69 yards, including a 49-yarder. Harrison Hopkins had three catches for 54 yards, including one for 31.
Robert McKnight led the Panthers on the ground with 42 yards on five carries. He scored the Panthers’ first and last touchdowns on runs of one and eight yards.
CJ Morgan also scored on a 2-yard run. Derious Bradford blocked a punt that went out of the end zone for a safety.
According to Parkway statistics, 26 Panthers were listed as in on at least one tackle.
