Prep soccer: Airline boys tournament starts Thursday

The Airline boys soccer tournament starts Thursday at First Baptist Bossier’s Freedom Fields.

Fourteen boys team are competing. In addition to Airline, they are Ouachita, Parkway, Byrd, Neville, DeRidder, North DeSoto, Bossier, West Monroe, Northwood, Benton, Caddo Magnet, Natchitoches Central and Ouachita Christian.

The tournament runs through Saturday. Games are scheduled to start at 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday. The championship game is scheduled for 6:45 p.m. Saturday.

There is also a JV tournament with 10 teams competing, including Airline, Parkway, Benton and Bossier.

Parkway is competing in the Loyola girls tournament, which also starts Thursday and runs through Saturday.

Games will be played at the Loyola practice field and Messmer Stadium.

Games start at 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 8 a.m. Monday. The championship game is 5:40 p.m. Saturday.
