Bossier City is hoping to turn the downtown area known as Old Bossier into a thriving living/work/play space for future generations.

The City of Bossier City will conduct a public information meeting regarding the Bossier City Downtown Re-Envisioning Project upcoming construction.

The City of Bossier City has contracted with Boggs and Poole Contracting Group, Inc. to construct the required infrastructure for the re-envisioning project including all water and sewer utilities, landscape, electrical and road work as required for the reconstruction of Barksdale Boulevard and other affected streets.

The work will involve closures of Barksdale Boulevard in intervals during the next 14 months.

The public information meeting will provide local residents and community stakeholders with an opportunity to discuss potential construction impacts.  A public meeting will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at the Bossier City Municipal Complex in the City Council Chambers.

The public will have an opportunity to meet the project designers and the project contractor and learn about the timeline and the phasing of this exciting project.
