COTTON VALLEY – Funeral services for Mrs. Rebecca “Becky” Ann Gordon Cole, age 49, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Cotton Valley, where she was a member, with Bro. Don Shirley officiating. Burial will follow in the Cotton Valley Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Cotton Valley, LA.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday at Bailey Funeral Home, Cotton Valley, LA.
Mrs. Cole was born on April 10, 1964 to Johnny Ray and Mary Francis Gordon and died on Friday, November 8, 2013 in Shreveport, LA. She was a lifelong resident of this area; she loved shopping, working in the yard and playing with her grandkids. She also enjoyed sitting on the front porch. She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Francis Gordon and sister, Linda Gordon.
Mrs. Cole is survived by her father, Johnny Ray Gordon of the Mott Community; her husband, Charles Cole of Cotton Valley, LA; son, Charles Cole, Jr. and wife, Kristin of Sarepta, LA; daughters, Lisa Dickey and husband, Michael; and Ashley Cole all of Cotton Valley, LA; grandchildren, Heath Dickey and Jennia Dickey both of Cotton Valley, LA; Kaley Cole of Sarepta, LA and soon to be born granddaughter, Blair Cole; a brother, Billy Gordon and special aunt, Alma B. McKellar, both of the Mott Community.
Pallbearers will be John Maynor, Danny Garner, Brad Gordon, Brandon Carpenter, Roy Lynn Cole and Donnie Dillard. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Franks, Jr., Jimmy Wayne Smith and Mike Thomlinson.
