PLAIN DEALING – Funeral services for Mrs. Rebecca New Malone, age 73, will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at the Plain Dealing Baptist Church, Plain Dealing, LA, with Rev. Billy Pierce officiating. Interment will follow in Plain Dealing Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held Monday, July 15, 2013 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Malone was born on August 22, 1939 to Clifford Benton “Dip” and Hazel Gore New in Plain Dealing, LA and passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2013 in Bossier City, LA. She was a homemaker and a member of the Plain Dealing Baptist Church. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Billy J. Malone; sister, Jane New DeMoss; brother, Clifford “Pete” New and wife, Nell; three step-daughters; two step-sons; four grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Malone was preceded in death by her parents; brother, John Robert “Bobby” New; and sister-in-law, Joy New.
Pallbearers will be Terry Tridico, Sr., Ben Winkler, Riley McElhannon, Steve Brandao, Sonny Gore, Rodney Bellar and honorary pallbearer Travis Huddleston.
