A Young Marines Benefit Golf Classic will be held Monday, June 9, at Palmetto Country Club in Benton to benefit the Bossier Sheriff’s Young Marines program.

The format will be a four-person scramble with a shotgun start at noon and will have lots of prizes and a meal, as well as food and refreshments during the course of play.

The cost of play is $125 per player or $500 for a four-player team, which covers green fees, cart, driving range privileges, meals and prizes.  Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams, longest drive, closest-to-the-pin, special hole-in-one prizes and door prizes.  Lunch will be provided at 11 a.m. just prior to the noon shotgun start.

Hole sponsorships are available for $125, and corporate sponsorships are available as well.  Contact (318) 965-2400 for more information on sponsorships.

Entry forms can be found at all Bossier Sheriff’s Office locations, Palmetto Country Club and at www.bossiersheriff.com on the right side of the page.

There is also a 60-second tongue-and-cheek “Shooting Birdies” PSA to promote the golf scramble, which can be viewed at the Bossier Sheriff’s Office YouTube link, located at http://bit.ly/Roje22.

All proceeds from the golf scramble will go to support the Bossier Sheriff’s Young Marines.   For further information on the tournament, call (318) 965-2400.  For more information on the Bossier Sheriff’s Young Marines, call (318) 965-3500.
